This mum came up with a really sweet way of repurposing her wedding veil

Such a lovely idea!

It can be hard to know what to do with your veil once the big day is over.

One mum decided to use the memento from her wedding in a really special way that I think is incredibly sweet.

How adorable is this?

The new mum decorated her babies crib with her lace veil by using it as a canopy on their cot.

I have to admit this is an idea that I had never thought of before and I feel a bit bad that my own beautiful veil is still sitting in my wardrobe at home unused.

My wedding dress, on the other hand, got an extra outing when I wore it for a mother and baby photo shoot last year when my daughter was a new baby.

I’ve often wondered what to do with my veil but had never thought of using it as a decoration.

Most of the women in my family either didn’t wear veils for their wedding or simply rented them for the day so I can’t take inspiration from what they repurposed their veils for.

One thing I know for sure is that I definitely want to keep it for my daughter. My aunt was able to let me borrow her tiara for my wedding and it made the day so much more special and I would love to be able to do the same for my daughter should she decide to get married in the future.

She’s guaranteed to be tall like her father so it’s a good thing I bought a 6ft veil!

Did you keep your wedding veil and if so what have you done with it since your wedding day?
