Would you do this?

One mum decided that she wasn’t taking the risk of her new baby picking up an infection from visiting family and friends.

An impossible task you might think. How can you possibly make sure that all of your guests are germ-free?

For mum Karel Marquez Fariñas the answer was simple. Hygiene nook.

The mum who is due a baby boy soon said she was not taking any chances.

“Call me strict, OA, exag, and some may roll eyes, but my own son’s safety and health comes first always, especially during the first few months.

I can take it and I would rather people judge me, than my baby getting hospitalized because of a visitor’s cold or virus that you may be unconscious about.”

New babies have very sensitive immune systems and are extremely prone to infections so a step like this is very clever.

Karel’s hygiene nook contains dry and wet tissue, masks and antibacterial solutions.

The mum has received a lot of praise from other parents telling her that the nook is a brilliant idea and something that they are going to do themselves.

Would you create a hygiene nook in your home to make sure your baby stayed safe?
