Trine Jensen-Burke

Dreaming of sun and sangria this summer?

Well, mamas, we got you.

Here are five gorgeous – and totally perfect for a family vacay – properties in Spain you can rent this summer.

From Mallorca to Marbella, these stunning Kid & Coe homes will make you the envy of all your friends when you start sharing those Insta snaps.

1. Marbella

The Las Mimosas Residence in Marbella is perfect if you are heading as a group – as this casa boasts five bedrooms and four bathrooms. As well as one sleek swimming pool.

The villa is surrounded by greenery, shops and public transport, and comes complete with a large patio with a BBQ, as well as plenty of toys, books and bicycles for the kids. The nearest playground is a leisurely five-minute walk away, as is the beach, while you will only spend five minutes in the car to get to the bustling port of Puerto Banus.

2. Andalucia

The Calle Cilla Residence is perfect for a break with friends (or grandparents!) as it sleeps up to 10 in total. This villa comes complete with private pool, large gardens and fantastic views over to Morocco.

Nestled within the old Moorish village of Medina Sidonia, it’s ideal for a large family or two looking for an authentic Andalucian holiday with Spanish sun, culture, great food and downtime.

The kids will love the garden and pool, while grown-ups can relax on the terrace and plan outings to many of the nearby sights and national parks. You will want to head to the beach, of course, but don’t miss the nearby village either, where delicious tapas, light beers and ice-creams are all too easy to come by.

3. Ibiza

The Roca Llisa Residence Nº 2 is screaming for you to Instagram it and make everyone you know sick with envy.

This modern villa (with the most amazing pool) sits in a private estate between Eivissa and Santa Eulalia – a mere 15 minutes from the nearest beach (but with two great golf courses nearby).

The house boasts four en-suite bedrooms, three of them in the main house, and then one in the independent adjoining studio, ideal for a nanny or grandparents.

Linen, towels and bath towels are provided, as are toiletries – meaning you can just back your swimsuits and head off, basically.

4. Mallorca

The Sextant Residence is in Puerto Pollenca in northern Mallorca and is situated a 5-minutes from the centre of the town. This sleek top floor apartment comes complete with a large, gated terrace, a soaking tub and large walk-in shower.

As for the kids; there is a playground and shady park next to the building, and the beach is a breezy 1-minute walk away – only across the road. Should you want to explore further, there are buses leaving every 15 minutes taking you either to Alcudia (15 minutes away) or Palma (a 45-minute drive).

The hotel next door has a swimming pool you can use if you buy a meal at the hotel’s restaurant, and there are plenty of other gorgeous restaurants within walking distance too.

Free WiFi, TV and air conditioning included, while cleaning and babysitting service are available for a fee.

5. Madrid

The Santa Cruz Residence in Madrid is perfect for families looking for an urban break this summer.

This light, bright and fun apartment is packed with everything you could need for pre-school children (books, toys, games) and is within walking distance from key Madrid attractions such as Sol, Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, Royal Palace and La Almudena Cathedral.

There is also a large park right beside it with a playground and skateboard rink.

The top floor apartment boasts a queen bed for parents to rest in, a separate kids room and a living room ideal for relaxing in after a day of adventure in Madrid. The practical kitchen has everything you could need including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and Nespresso machine.
