Airline’s New Ad Aims To Put Parents Travelling With Kids At Ease

HerFamily

Travelling with kids can be physically and emotionally challenging for a parent.

Not only do you have to make sure you have everything but keeping your little one entertained throughout a flight is a whole other battle. And that’s not to mention some of the looks you get when they become unsettled!

JetBlue, an airline company in the US, is acknowledging the struggle that parents face when flying with young kids in its latest advertising campaign.

Their ad basically appeals to the other passengers on board and asks them to show some empathy and smile (rather than sigh) when a baby cries during the flight.

How do they do this, you ask? They give the passengers an incentive by giving them 25 per cent off a future flight every time a child cries.

In other words, four crying babies earn them a free flight and believe it or not, the video isn’t a stunt, it actually happened.

We love the fact that this campaign aims to put parents travelling with kids at ease and finishes with the message: “Next time, smile at a baby… for crying out loud.”

We recently compiled a list of the questions you should ask before flying with children. It included things like extra charges, baby supplies and flight duration.
