If you’re an animal lover then you’re going to go weak at the knees over this delightful offering from Waterfall Alpaca Farm in Drimoleague.

The farm which is home to a herd of alpacas, sheep, rabbits, miniature donkeys, hens, and ducks is any animal lovers’ dream. Nestled in the heart of the Cork countryside, this spot is the perfect break from the hustle and bustle where you, your loved one, and the animals can rest in peace and tranquillity. Bliss.

An overnight stay in one of the farm’s log cabins costs €75 – €85 a night with plenty of activities to keep you busy during the day, from a 40 minute alpaca walk through the hills to getting down and dirty with a little farm work and even, heading for an outdoor swim or taking in the beauty of the surrounding area. You’ll be hard pushed to leave.

And now, as the weather is set to get warmer a weekend spent exploring the great outdoors sounds just like our cup of tea.
