1. Rome

2. Tuscany

3. Sicily

This large apartment in a recently restored building is quiet and yet in the center of Catania, overlooking a wonderful castle and in the gastronomical heart of the city.

The apartment is large and comfortable, with a home cinema and winter garden plus three bedrooms each with private balconies. The square facing the building is full of good restaurants where you can taste excellent traditional Sicilian dishes and good wines.

There is a theme park not too far from the center of Catania and beaches are a 15-minute drive away. A crib is available for babies, with a high chair, kids dinnerware and other baby items on offer too.

4. Puglia

This magical, romantic property with a pool, created from a traditional Trullo plus modern additions, includes bikes, swing chairs and a vegetable garden full of tomatoes and herbs.

The villa, which sleeps 10, is tranquil and offers an easy space for parents to cook in the outdoor kitchen while kids run around and enjoy the swimming pool. 5. Lake Como

This contemporary lakefront villa has an infinity pool, private mooring, stunning kitchen and wonderful garden. Inside, the house has an open plan family living space and lounge with a panorama window, the better to enjoy the incredible views of Lake Como. There is dining inside and out with views over the lake.

The large villa sleeps eight people, easily accommodating two families in comfort.
