It is understood that Covid travel passes could arrive in the post within days.

According to reports, the Government is speeding up plans for the re-opening of international travel on July 19.

Fully vaccinated people will receive a Digital Covid Certificates in the post, according to The Independent.

The government is also considering the use of covid certificates for indoor dining.

They believe the EU travel passes could help cafes, restaurants and pubs that will likely be serving vaccinated people only when they re-open for indoor dining.

PCR and antigen tests are not being considered at the moment.

Government officials and the hospitality sector have yet to come to an agreement on how they will identify fully vaccinated or immune people, but they have vowed to settle on a plan by July 19.

The news comes after vaccination services opened to those aged 18-34 on Monday. It is understood that over 50% of adults are now fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in Ireland.

Vaccination efforts have been ramped up since the Delta variant became the most dominant strain in Ireland.

The HSE believes all adults could be fully vaccinated by August or September.
