The dlr Mill Theatre in Dundrum has a Christmas panto – and it sounds SO good

Fancy bringing the kids to a super-fun panto, but not prepared to deal with the manic city centre in December?

Well, then you should be heading to Dundrum instead this festive season, where the dlr Mill Theatre has just kicked off this year’s panto – Robin Hood.

The classic story gets a panto-style makeover thanks to Geoff O’Keeffe, and be prepared for all sorts of fun and antics in the Sherwood Forest.

Here is what the Mill Theatre says about the family show on their website:

“Oh noooo!!!

The wicked Sheriff of Nottingham won’t stop raising the taxes of the town until the lovely Maid Marian agrees to become his wife. But this Maid Marian is not one to give up on a fight and, with our hero Robin Hood, sets out to overthrow the nasty Sheriff. There may be wedding bells . . .  but for whom?

Will Massive Milly, the Sheriff’s sidekick, lead Little John to the gold and could Cupid’s arrow strike again? Will Aunt Polly snag a rich husband before the show is over? And, boys and girls, will she find Bella Sparkles, the magical unicorn that has been spotted in Sherwood Forest?”

This wonderful family show, with audience participation, songs, dancing and a host of crazy, zany and colourful characters, sounds like the perfect pre-Christmas day out if you ask us.

Showtimes: 12pm, 2pm and 4pm

Admission: €18/€16 Family of 4: €65
