In need of a break?

We’re checking out to check in to the latest addition to Dublin’s hotel scene, The Devlin.

Located in Ranelagh, Dublin 6, The Devlin is going to be our new favourite spot and just wait until you hear why.

Not only is this a hotel but, it’s also the perfect place to have brunch, a late night drink with a view of the city’s skyline, to check out a flick be it new or old and lastly, to grab dinner with mates – The Devlin is prepping to become our new favourite hotspot from tomorrow, November 1, onwards.

Let’s start with the rooms…

First of all, The Devlin isn’t a massive hotel, it’s more of a community, providing something for everybody under one compact roof. With 40 bedrooms, it’s not all about size here, it’s about the experience. Each room in The Devlin features a cosy bed, Smeg fridge, Dyson hair dryer, power shower, Nespresso machine, Marshall amp and a smart TV just to name a few things.

Feeling peckish?

Fear not – you don’t need to leave the comfort of your hotel, it’s all here thanks to Layla’s Rooftop Restaurant, Bar and Terrace. The glass-surround terrace will make you feel like you’re floating right above the heart of Ranelagh village. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, this is a must with the sounds of shrimp and crab rigatoni pasta calling our name.

Brunch is also served here every Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 3pm.

Need some caffeine?

Planning a day of shopping? Don’t leave the lobby without a coffee from the DIME coffee hatch. Brewing up the best batch of beans, this will give you the pep in your step needed for a day of activities.

Movie magic

And finally, the pièce de résistance, The Devlin features its very own 42 seater cinema from the same owners who bring you the Stella Theatre in Rathmines.

With cosy armchairs, dim lighting and an old-school vibe, get ready to tuck up and tune in to one of two movies shown here daily. This cinema will be screening new releases, indie films, arthouse movies and cult classics all week long.

How insane does that sound?

Room rates start from €120 and you can check out all plus make a reservation here.
