For even more wholesome family fun, there will also be free games on the lawns, including family Tug o’ War with parents v children, musical statues with some frights added for good measure and some stocks where those who may have committed some crimes this year can be publically punished with some soft sponges.
Oh, and if that isn't enough of fun for one day, there is also the graveyard of 1,000 ships treasure hunt, which will no doubt go down a treat with little people – and bigger ones.
If you get peckish, the Hook Lighthouse Café will be open from 9.30-5 pm daily serving all the usual favourites and the outdoor café will be serving snacks and hot chocolate.
And if you have never visited before, guided tours of the ancient lighthouse are also back on offer and these will be available every 30minutes from 10 am – 5 pm, offering visitors an insight into the 800 years of lighthouse keeping at the oldest operational lighthouse in the world.
