A HUGE new interactive sports and science centre is opening in Dublin soon

Trine Jensen-Burke

Fancy a day out somewhere the entire family will enjoy – even your tech-obsessed and eye-rolling-prone tweens and teens?

Well, look no further.

In September, Explorium, Ireland’s National Science and Sport Centre, will open its doors in Sandyford, Dublin 18, and it sounds like a day of absolute superb fun.

The people at Explorium have sourced over 250 science exhibits and activities from all over the world, where visitors will be educated, challenged and amazed through a truly interactive science experience.

For young (and older) sports fanatics, there will be large porting areas that will encourage visitors to push their limits. For instance, you can try the daunting climbing challenges or explore the longest indoor caving system in the world.

To get your little ones interested in all things tech and science, a visit to Explorium combines fun with learning about science and all the STEM subject.

School classes will be welcome to book in for visits, and you will also be able to host birthday parties at Explorium, something we bet will become a popular feature.

All in all, we can’t wait to head out to Sandyford for a visit once they open their doors to the public in a few week’s time. Keep an eye on the Explorium website for more info and news of official opening date.
