The Mill Theatre in Dundrum has put on two SUPER show for kids this Easter break

Trine Jensen-Burke

The countdown for Easter break is officially on.

And if you are looking for things to do to keep the kids during the two-week (yep – two whole weeks!) school break, fear not – luckily there are family-friendly events taking place up and down the land to keep us all sane.

If you happen to be near Dundrum, we are loving the sound of these two shows at The Mill Theatre:

1. Donal Vaughan Science Magic

Triple award-winning Irish comedian & scientist, Donal Vaughan, brings his hugely popular science, comedy, magic family show back to Dundrum.

Using only things you find around the house, he will perform amazing tricks to show how magical science can be. Wanna see a potato rocket launcher? Or conjure dragons breath? How about a vomiting unicorn? Or course you do.

Always exciting and sometimes very messy, learn about science and laugh your pants off while you do. And the best part is all the tricks can be performed by you when you go home.

2. Egg and Spoon

Lyngo’s acclaimed interactive show for the under 5’s.

The very young won’t sit still to watch a show and we don’t expect them to. Egg and Spoon is an interactive romp through the seasons where you come in and out of our magic circle and get to open all the gifts of nature. Percy and April get you settled on our comfortable cushions and introduce you to Birdy, still hiding in his glowing egg. We have to wait till Spring if we want to see him so it’s time to begin our hands-on journey through the year. We’ll run through the rain and the falling leaves and sleep under the snow till the sun wakes us up for the butterfly party. Egg and Spoon is a perfect gentle introduction to the magic of theatre.
