Norwegian Air to start one-day shopping trips from Dublin to New York

This definitely sounds intriguing.

Norwegian Air International is reportedly set to increase the number of flights between New York state and Dublin.

And in even better news, it looks like they’ll be timing the flights to allow holidaymakers to take one-day shopping trips to the popular outlet centre, Woodbury Common.

The airline first began flying between Ireland and the north-east coast of the United States last summer, with seats priced beginning at €99 one way.

According the Irish Times, the airline plans to double its services from Dublin to Stewart International Airport in the state of New York beginning April 26th.

The airport is located 96km from new York city, with nearby road and rail connections to get into the city.

The move would see the flights run twice a day, making an extra 66,000 seats available to travellers on the route.

It would also bring the number of flights the airline offer between Ireland and the United States up to 29.

Norwegian Air is also reportedly planning to time its flights to roll-out one-day shopping trips to the nearby outlet mall, Woodbury Common.

The airline’s flight from Dublin would take off at 8:30am local time, arriving in New York state at 10:30am Eastern Standard Time.

There would be a shuttle running between Stewart International Airport and the nearby outlet.

The transportation would return shoppers to the airport three hours before Norwegian’s evening flight back to Dublin.
