There’s a new boutique Christmas market coming to Dublin Castle next month

Jade Hayden

It’s that time of year, folks.

Christmas. Or as Slade like to say: CHRIIIIIIIIIIIISTMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS.

It’s a time for drinking hot toddies, eating mince pies, and hitting up every single Christmas market we can possibly muster in one month.

And now, it appears as if there’s going to be a brand spanking new one kicking off in Dublin Castle next month.

Very festive, indeed.

Christmas At The Castle, as it shall now forever be known, is kicking off in the historical and very picturesque grounds of Dublin Castle from December 12 to 22.

There’ll be a boutique open air Christmas Market, there’ll be evening carol singing, and there’ll be a Neapolitan crib.

There’ll even be complimentary evening access to the traditionally decorated State apartments, if that’s something you’d be at all interested in.

30+ alpine market stalls will be selling an abundance of treats and treasures, all sure to make your Christmas as delicious and delectable as possible.

A vintage carousel will be on site for children, while weekend visitors to the event can avail of actual horse carriage rides around the Castle grounds and gardens.

Boujie enough, isn’t it?

Vendors include Handsome Burger, Kono Pizza (selling actual pizza cones!), Swing Grill, Sweet Churro, the Donut Trike, and loads of others foodie bits sure to fill you up nice and tight.

Christmas At The Castle is being run in conjunction with the Office of Public Works (OPW) and Dublin City Council.

Minister for the OPW and flood relief Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran said that the event will, naturally, be quite delightful.

“Christmas at the Castle invites people to immerse themselves in some of the best traditions of Christmas, right in the heart of the city,” he said.

“With over 1,000 years of history in Dublin Castle and plenty of festive food, crafts, music and entertainment – there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”

“Christmas at the Castle runs from December 12 to 22 and is open from 12pm to 8pm daily.

Admission to the market is free.

Enjoy it, yeah?
