Katie Mythen-Lynch

Hands up of you’re not hydrating enough.

If you’re looking for a way to boost your energy, clear your skin and lose weight without putting in much effort, upping your water intake is by far the easiest way to achieve all three.

Experts advise quaffing eight glasses a day, but even the most dedicated yoga bunny can find this a bit of a chore. The answer? Give your water jug a makeover to make your daily quota of H2o more flavourful. Here are three of our favourite recipes…

Lemon and Cucumber

Slice half a cucumber and a whole lemon and add to a jug with a few sprigs of rosemary, a handful of mint leaves and some fresh thyme.

Pear & Ginger

Slice one pear, snap six cinnamon sticks and grate three inches of fresh ginger (a natural antibiotic). Add to a jug and top up with water.

Blackberry and Sage

As well as being packed with antioxidants, the crushed berries give this autumnal mix a lovely purple colour.
