Finding it hard to get motivated to exercise? The ‘coregasm’ might change your mind and yes, it’s exactly as it sounds.
A ‘coregasm’ is an exercise-induced orgasm that can be triggered when the endorphins and dopamine are combined with tension in our core muscles.
We know what you’re thinking, why would you want to have an orgasm at the gym surrounded by people? But apparently you’d be the only one who would notice it.
According to the 2014 National Survey of Sexual Health and Behaviour in the UK, only 10 per cent of men and women have had one.
But that total could rise with the help of period tracking and fertility app Clue, which has put together a few moves that will help you coregasm.
It’s important to note that the secret is to hold in your belly button to your spine, and the exercises do require repetition until the point of fatigue.
Hanging Leg Raises
The roman chair is your best friend in the gym. Leg raises on one of these things deliver coregasms faster than most other poses, especially if you extend your legs straight out. You can also do leg raises lying on your back on the floor. Lift and lower your legs slowly and with control, and remember to suck your belly in.
Eagle pose
This pose in Bikram yoga can trigger a coregasm if done long enough and aligned correctly. Try pulsating your midsection until you get the right alignment (knees and elbows in one line). Squeeze in your core and maintain good posture. This one requires a bit more patience.
The Boat Pose
Boat pose is a great lower ab workout. Try to balance upright, and again, suck your tummy in tight. Extend your legs and arms straight and them bring them back into the original position. Doing this for 30 seconds should do the trick.
