The Samsung Night Run will bring Dublin to a close once again on Sunday, April 26th as 7,000 runners set out after sundown to complete the 10k route.
Last year’s race was won by Peter Brandon Somba from Kenya in a time of 30.09 and the first woman across the line was Siobhan O’Doherty from Tipperary in a time of 35.35. Whether you fancy your chances against Ireland’s fastest or not, the race will kick off at Custom House Quay at 9pm on Sunday April 26th and runners wishing to register for the event can do so here.
If you’re still on the fence, here are three great reasons to pull on your runners and hit the pavement:
1. You’ll get to see the iconic landmarks and sights of the capital in a whole new light and from a very different perspective.
2. Training will zap stress… and fat. Race ambassador Gordon D’Arcy will be on hand to provide his fitness expertise and experience to entrants via the race blog between now and April 26th.
3. The race is a not-for-profit event. The €30 entry fee includes entry to the race, timing chip, number, race shirt, finishers medal and goodie bag.
