What age are children when parents are typically most unhappy?

The age children are at when their parents are typically most unhappy has been revealed.

According to a study conducted in the US, children are between the ages of 11 and 12 when their parents are likely to be the most unhappy.

The study showed that American mothers experience the most stress and the least happiness when their children are in the age between being a child and being a teenager.

Professor Suniya Luthar from Arizona State University said that their research showed that a lot of the parents felt “empty.”

She told National Public Radio:

“Many mothers aren’t aware that the big separation from offspring, the one that really hurts, doesn’t occur when children leave the nest, but when they psychologically pull away from their mothers.

“This is a time of psychological metamorphosis for both mother and child.”

The study also showed that this is the time when parents are most likely to suffer from depression.
