When you have kids, you learn to do everything at double the speed, including getting washed and dressed.
But rushing one part of your routine could actually be detrimental to your vaginal health.
Jason James, medical director at Miami's FemCare Ob-Gyn, told
Glamour that rushing the drying part could increase your likelihood of developing a yeast infection.
He explained that yeast thrives on moistness and the more moisture there is, the more chance of getting a nasty infection.

"All women have yeast and bacteria present at all times in the vagina, but it is the imbalance of one over the other that results in infection," he told the publication
"Warmth, moisture, and friction can all lead to irritation and the potential changes in pH that increase favourability for yeast to overgrow and become a clinical infection."
In other words, it's beneficial to take a few extra minutes to make sure you're properly dry before putting on your clothes.
Yeast infections are very common, with three out of four women having at least one during their lives. Symptoms can include:
- Mild to severe itching
- Vaginal discharge that resembles cottage cheese
- Soreness, irritation or burning
- A rash or redness on the skin
- Painful urination
- Painful sexual intercourse
