Trine Jensen-Burke

This week has been an unprecedented one, for all of us.

It is easy to feel completely overwhelmed with what is happening all around us, and worrying about what the future will look like once this all settles.

But we need to try to remain calm. And if you, like me, struggle to do that right now, you should know about this handy little breathing exercise, which has been proven to calm you down, and, at night, help you to go to sleep quicker.

4-7-8 Breathing Exercise

1. Breathe in for four seconds.
2. Hold the breath for seven seconds.
3. Slowly breathe out for eight seconds.

Simples.
