Kate Middleton Is Launching A Podcast On Children’s Mental Health (And We Love Her Even More Now)

It seems there is no end to just how awesome a mum (and person!) Kate Middelton is.

Both Kate and her husband, Prince William, have previously spoken about feeling very passionate about the subject that is children’s mental health, and now it seems the Duchess is continuing to show her support for the cause with her latest project, a new podcast dedicated to children and their mental health.

The series, titled Child in Mind, will consist of 20-minute episodes hosted by BBC Radio 4’s Claudia Hammond, as she discusses important issues in child and family mental health with experts, parents and adolescents themselves.

“Throughout my work with family and child support organisations, one thing that has stood out to me time and again is that getting early support for a child who is struggling to cope is the best possible thing we can do to help our children as they grow up. Knowing this, both William and and I feel very strongly that we wouldn’t hesitate to get expert support for George and Charlotte if they need it,” the Duchess said in a statement.

The mother-of-two has long been championing mental and emotional support for children. In February, she recorded a video pledge for Children’s Mental Health week, urged schoolsto prioritize its students’ emotional health and guest-edited Huffington Post UK to promote a new initiative, Young Minds Matter. And with the launch of the podcast now, the 34-year-old future Queen hopes to offer another resource for parents seeking professional help for their child’s emotional wellbeing.

The first episode of Child in Mind is already available on annafreud.org, Soundcloudand iTunes.
