It was found that the green light did not aggravate symptoms. In fact, it appeared to minimise them for most.
This is not the first study aimed at determining whether different shades of light impact migraine sufferers more or less, nor do the team know the reason behind their conclusion.
Despite this, the experiment could be a step towards reducing pain for migraine sufferers as it could be used by designers to create products that emit, or limit the sufferer's light exposure to, green light.
