Trying to hide the black bags under your eyes?

Sleepless nights with a baby crying or feeding can have some obvious effects on a mother. Tiredness being one of them. But, that also has a knock-on effect on your body, especially around your eyes.

Black circles under your eyes are caused by dilated blood vessels under the skin, and puffiness around the eye is due to fluid in the tissue which swells when you are tired. The skin is so delicate in that eye area that it appears more visible.

So, what can be done to cure this? One obvious answer is to get more sleep. ‘I wish’, says you.

Yes, one thing that cannot be guaranteed when you have a baby is a full night’s sleep. So, in the absence of uninterrupted sleep, there is one thing that you can try that will help to banish those pesky dark circles.

According to MensHealth, coffee is the answer. Fantastic news, we know!

They’ve said that coffee helps the blood vessels to constrict, making them smaller and less noticeable. Not only will it wake you up, it will also make you appear fresher, it’s a win-win situation.

You could also try vitamin B creams, cucumber slices and used tea bags.

Like we needed another reason to have another cuppa.
