Revealed: These are the four things Jessica Alba eats EVERY day

She is a busy mama-of-two and business-woman in charge of the multi-million dollar Honest Company – so just how does Jessica Alba maintain her stunning physique and famous glowing looks? Well, if you follow her on Instagram you can't have helped but notice the 36-year-old puts in some serious time at the gym – but she also has another secret weapon apparently – in the shape of celebrity nutritionist Kelly LeVeque (whose other famous clients include – among others – Molly Sims, Emmy Rossum and Chelsea Handler). In the foreward to LeVeque's new book Alba has credited the nutritionist with completely changing how she thinks about food – and now eats mostly according to LeVeque's Fab Four principal. What does this entail I hear you ask? Well, this is what LeVeque recently told InStyle about her method: "The Fab Four are proteins, fats, fiber and greens. Those four things together actually turn off all the hunger hormones in your body and elongate your blood sugar curve. Instead of counting calories, we’re looking for and counting up the things that our cells need to feel calm and relaxed." The nutrition coach also spoke to Well & Good, and explained how Jessica had approached her to help boost her energy and stay away from foods that caused inflammation. "For breakfast, I suggested Jessica have a Fab Four Smoothie (1 serving of protein, 1–2 Tbsp almond butter, 1–2 Tbsp chia seeds, a handful of greens, and 1–2 cups of almond milk). She liked fruit, but I didn’t want to spike her blood sugar, so we limited it to 1/3 frozen banana. The idea was to balance her blood sugar from the get-go with something that was a great source of fiber. If you do that in the morning, it lays the foundation for the rest of the day." LeVeque also shared what the actress and business woman eats for dinner now. "For lunch and dinner, I encouraged her to build a Fab Four plate, and not to think about what she shouldn’t eat. Making protein, fat, fiber, and greens the cornerstone of each meal worked wonders for her." Oh, and as for Jessica's favourite snack (something we can totally get onboard with, by the way!)? Guacamole. "I 100 percent approve because the main ingredient— avocado – is a source of healthy fat, specifically, monounsaturated fat, LeVeque explains. "Fat breaks down into fatty acids, which help facilitate hormone production and are important for cell development. It also helps elongate your blood-sugar curve and turn off your hunger hormones."
