'I got back to my hotel I cried in the shower.'
A woman has complained on Facebook after she had the 'worst experience' in an athleisure shop.
Heather Albert was shopping in popular yoga wear store Lululemon when workers in the store made a nasty comment about her.
''I had weight loss surgery a year ago, and have lost 80lbs.'' She explained on the stores Facebook page.
''I'm pretty proud of myself! When my amazing fiancee heard I was going to Park City, UT for a work trip this past week, she insisted I go to the retail store in PC and buy myself something. I was so excited to finally go to a retail store!''
When she got to the shop an began looking through the clothing racks, one of the shop assistants whispered 'loudly' to another asking "DO we even have anything in her size??" and both proceeded to giggle.
''I was the only customer in the store.' Heather said.
''I knew it was directed at me. I was mortified.''
Heather had a function to go the that night and her confidence was knocked by the experience in the store.
''I got back to my hotel I cried in the shower.'' She said.
Heather said that while she knows Lululemon does not fit everyone she is currently a US size 10/12 (8/10 UK) and the store claims to go up to a size 16 which had Heather pointing out that she's ''not even close to maxing out on size there''.
The company replied to Heather's post apologising to her for the unpleasant experience. They asked her to private message the page to discuss it further.
While it seems obvious and should go without saying, those who work in clothing stores should treat everyone with respect. Anyone who has ever had body issues will know that shopping can be a daunting experience and if you are already self conscious comments from other people won't help. Whether you work in a clothing shop or not, be very aware of the damage that body shaming causes.
