So just how does vaseline work for hayfever? Apparently, the trick is to apply Vaseline into the insides of your nostrils, as high up your nose as possible. This might sound rather odd, but the Vaseline will act as a barrier balm, meaning it physically stops the pollen from entering your nasal passage and triggering a reaction. And sure look – if you suffer really badly from hayfever, you still might have to take precautions – but it's no harm trying to trick anyway – Vaseline is cheap, readily available and harmless.Out vaseline up your nose, it stops the pollen going up or something ? worked wonders for Harrison
