So, how does it work?
Based on your morning temperature, taken orally, the fertility computer determines your fertile days and shows when you are ovulating.
It monitors your daily status of fertility and will alert you on the days when intercourse may lead to pregnancy:
on the day you ovulate – and the five days before ovulation.
The Lady-Comp fertility monitor uses a three-colour system to indicate fertility status, including green light meaning 'infertile' when it is not possible to get pregnant, red light, meaning a fertile period, when a woman can become pregnant and yellow light, which indicates that Lady-Comp is still in its learning phase.
How much does it cost?
At €495 it's not cheap, but if you're having issues with the Pill or coil, or you simply prefer natural birth control and appreciate new technology, the Lady-Comp could be the answer to your prayers.
Valley Electronics, the company behind the device, also sells Lady-Comp Baby, designed to assist with family planning and reduced fertility. Lady-Comp baby forecasts your most fertile days and registers if you don’t ovulate or if you have an hormonal imbalance.
