Alabama Willoughby is on a one-woman mission to warn people about the dangers of sunbeds, after developing skin cancer six years ago.

The 27-year-old nurse, who has a two-year-old son, posted the picture on her Facebook page to raise awareness about the dangers of a golden tan.

She added:

“If anyone needs a little motivation to not lay in the tanning bed and sun here ya go! This is what skin cancer treatment can look like. Wear sunscreen and get a spray tan. You only get one skin and you should take care of it. Learn from other people’s mistakes. Don’t let tanning prevent you from seeing your children grow up.”

The young mum admitted she used to use a tanning bed four or five times a week. She has since had two types of cancer; basal cell carcinoma five times and squamous cell carcinoma once and regularly has cancerous growth removed from her face at the dermatologists office.

Her graphic but eye opening post has been shared more than 65,000 times.
