If there is anything worse than catching the flu it’s dealing with the ‘man flu’.
Every woman who has ever shared a home with her boyfriend or husband will know of this affliction and how it is the bane of our existence.
Some disgruntled wives and girlfriends of ‘man flu’ sufferers took to social media to share their woes and the results are hilarious and far too real.
Only recently my household fell down with a nasty dose of the flu and while on my worst day I was lying on the floor of the living room with my toddler sitting on my head wishing that the ground would swallow me up the same could not be said for my other half.
For him it was two days straight of lying in bed feeling very sorry for himself while I tried to stop the children from torpedoing into one another while simultaneously being vomited on by them.
Ah the joys of mum life. I did get some comfort out of these posts though because it let me know that I was not alone.
This one in particular got me laughing because this is true not only when my husband gets the dreaded ‘man flu’ but when anything happens to him.
He got the tiniest bit of sunburn on his nose around four years ago and I’m still hearing about it.

Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go take some aspirin before my husband tells me how he’s still recovering from last week.
