Would You Let Your 8-Year-Old Daughter Get Involved in Pole Fitness?

HerFamily

In recent years pole fitness has grown in popularity among women but now it seems young girls are also getting involved in it.

According to This Morning, girls as young as eight are going to classes in the UK and it is leading to quite the discussion with many parents concerned about the over-sexualisation of children.

Instructor Zoe Hardy appeared on the show and emphasized the fact that it’s not pole dancing but pole fitness. She explained that the demand was in her local area for it so they set up a class.

While the classes have been criticised, two mothers said that they didn’t even give the idea a second thought.

Lisa revealed that her daughter became interested in pole fitness after being bullied at school over her weight while Lorraine compared it to gymnastics (a sport in which many are involved).
