If you’re due to welcome your newest arrival over the autumn season, you may be considering a name that pays homage to the time of year they landed earth-side.

Autumn offers us many beautiful things: colourful leaves, cosy seasonal scents, comfort food, and so on. But it also inspires some of the most gorgeous monikers for an autumnal newborn.

We have compiled a list of our favourite names that have a nod to the season we all love.

Girls

  1. Autumn – the most obvious choice, but a strong contender.

  5. Sage – a herb that is often put to use when cooking during this season.
  6. Hazel – a light brown shade, which is very much associated with autumn.
  7. Amber – a name relating to the lovely colours associated with the autumn months.
  8. Bronwyn – a Welsh name that brings to mind thoughts of nature and the crisp brown colours.
  9. Daphne – a name that refers to the laurel tree, which is an evergreen that thrives during these months.
  10. Olive – a Latin name relating to the Olive Tree, which holds on to its foliage deep into the season.
