Here are 5 Charlotte Tilbury products everyone hypes alongside the 5 I think you should actually buy

Melissa Carton

Decisions, decisions.

Charlotte Tilbury is one of the most popular make up brands in the world and it’s personally one of my favourite brands.

Saying that as it is a luxury make up brand its products come with a high price tag, so it’s worth knowing what products are the must have investments and which ones you can probably pass on (unless you’re a die hard fan who needs the lot).

Below are five products that get a lot of hype accompanied with the product I think you should actually buy instead.

Magic Cream or Magic Cream Light

The Magic Cream is one of Tilbury’s biggest sell out products and beauty and skin care gurus swear by, with many admitting that there is just no other dupe for the ingredients she uses in it.

But personally I think if you fall into the age bracket of twenties and thirties I feel the magic cream is just too rich of a moisturiser and sits heavy on the skin.

My recommendation is to go for the Magic Cream Light instead as it gives the same amazing effects as the original but has a much lighter feel on the skin.

Pillow Talk mascara or Exagger-Eyes duel eyeliner

This might be controversial, but even though the Pillow Talk mascara has had rave reviews from many, it sadly did nothing for my lashes.

Now as I mentioned it does work for many but for the price tag I feel I would want something that I know will 100 per cent work.

If you do want to invest in a Tilbury eye product then my hands down favourite and number one suggestion is her duel eyeliners.

These are a must have especially in the black and champagne/nude shade as it creates a gorgeous liner on your lid while the light colour can be used on your water line to instantly brighten up your eyes.

Hollywood Flawless Filter or Airbrush Flawless Finish powder

This one was a really difficult either/or situation as I love them both but if I have to choose…

Personally while I adore the Flawless Filter if a friend asked me if they should invest in it or the Airbrush powder, I would probably tell them to buy the powder.

While I’m a fan and use both of them, I find the powder is a bit more versatile as it has the blurring effect but it also helps to set your make up and get rid of any unwanted shine on your skin.

Pillow Talk Happikiss edition or Pillow Talk original matte

When it comes to the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick range I’ve got to say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

If you’re trying to choose between the classic Pillow Talk lipstick and the new Happikiss version, please go with the original matte, you will not regret it.

The Happikiss lipsticks are great but they’re almost more like lip balm and I feel they just don’t have the staying power as the original.

Magic Away Liquid concealer or Magic Vanish colour corrector

Lastly (at least for this list) there is the Tilbury concealer range which consists of a few different liquids concealers like Magic Away pictured above and the more cream textured concealers like Magic Vanish.

In my opinion, Magic Vanish is the better investment piece out of the two.

Not only will it give you better coverage over blemishes but it is also a colour corrector and out of the two does a much better job of concealing dark circles and hyper-pigmentation.
