There are few better things in this world than a good, solid hobby.
Reading’s a decent one. So is cooking. Performing an entire musical number dressed as Hugh Jackman when you don’t sound like Hugh Jackman is also a good shout too.
One of the most wholesome hobbies in the world though has to be gardening.
It’s fun, it’s a great way to pass the time, and you’re actually growing things, creating life in this often torturous world, making things just a little bit less awful.
That’s what Stella from Leitrim does anyway when she grows all her brussels sprouts and peas and stuff.
She took to the Toy Show set last night to tell Ryan and the Irish public all about her love of gardening and why everyone had been calling her “your one from the telly” ever since she got picked for the show.
(It’s because she was going to be on the telly, lads.)

The segment surprisingly didn’t offer quite as much gardening as it did solid chat from Stella who talked all things teacher’s nicknames, planting seeds, and agricultural show wins.
She’s bagged a few of those herself, wouldn’t you know?
All in all an extremely wholesome bit of TV that ended with Ryan and Stella enjoying a brussels spout lollipop.
A treat you’d find hard not to enjoy.
