Want to throw you little one a birthday party that is right on trend this year?

When it comes to planning parties, we live in the Pinterest era, mums, so there is no shortage of ideas when it comes to decor, food, party favours, themes and cakes .

However, if you want to go for something the experts at Pinterest predict will very much be trending this year, here is a glimpse into their “Pinterest 100”  for the year ahead:

1. Enchanted Forest

Fairytale fans, take note: This charming new theme is trending big-time (searches are up 238 percent, apparently), so think toadstool chairs, indoor trees, fairy garlands,” among other whimsical touches. Forest animals are big too, and trust me, Pinterest is chock-a-block with adorable inspiration.

Doughnuts are still trending (according to Pinterest, searches for doughnut-themed decor is up a whopping 748 percent!), and not just to eat as are, no the most creative of party decoraters now incorporate the frosted pastries into every aspect of their celebrations.
