"Hey @Delta! Thanks for cancelling my flight and then rerouting us and separating my MINOR child onto a different flight than mine and having a 2 HR call time wait!"The tweet, which has since been deleted, triggered a furious response from Philipps' followers who said that it was unacceptable to be separated from such a young child. https://www.instagram.com/p/BklQDgyhUjr/?hl=en&taken-by=busyphilipps Later on Instagram Stories, Philipps said that she would have ended up flying to Minnesota, and her 9-year-old daughter Birdie Leigh would have ended up in Detroit. However, later on when somebody asked Busy if she had let the airline separate her from her child, she wrote "No, I would NEVER." She also later revealed that Delta eventually found a flight they could both get on a 2.30am. The airline told People that they "worked quickly" to find Busy and her family a new flight and that her daughter was only going to be separated because she had been registered to fly under a different booking. https://www.instagram.com/p/BkTYTb_BF7D/?hl=en&taken-by=busyphilipps Once this was revealed, Twitter users began saying that Busy had overreacted and that Delta did not deserve the bad press when "nothing" had happened. "Big freaking drama... they never got separated," said one person. "Busy Philipps and her daughter had separated reservations," said another. "Never heard of her prior to today," claimed someone else. Fair.
