Ah, stop.
There’s nothing like the removal of Christmas decorations to make a house feel at least 10 times more grim.
You’ve got all your tinsel and your tree and your dancing Santas for most of December and a bit of January and then all of a sudden, nothing.
The home is as bare as the day before you put up those decorations.
You are sad and alone, and nothing can help you.
This must have been exactly how this child felt when he saw an abandoned Christmas tree on the side of the road in London – sad, alone, and determined to do something to help.
The unknown child was spotted by TV host and radio DJ Sian Welby, who said that she saw the child picking up the tree and saying: “Don’t worry you can come home with me.”
Just witnessed this kid hug an abandoned Christmas tree he found on the pavement, say to it “don’t worry you can come home with me” I’m not crying YOU ARE pic.twitter.com/biakBIjwtd

Too much like.
Sian concluded her tweet by saying “I’m not crying YOU ARE” which is a pretty accurate description of what did indeed happen when we all viewed this set of photos.
It is not yet known whether the child was granted permission to keep the tree in his family home… but we really, really hope so.
