David Attenborough to teach kids geography in BBC’s online classes programme

A wonderful idea.

David Attenborough has been confirmed as a teacher BBC's new online classes programmes for kids. The veteran presenter, natural historian, and all-round sound lad will be teaching children (and let's be honest, adults too) all about geography and natural history as part of the broadcaster's new education programme amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Attenborough will be joining other well-known stars like Brian Cox, Danny Dyer, Jodie Whittaker, and Liam Payne (?) to lead a series of online classes while schools remain closed. The 93-year-old will be taking the reins on geography, while Professor Cox will be teaching children all about the solar system and gravity. Danny Dyer will be teaching history, which sounds like absolutely incredible viewing and we are not worthy of it. The classes are part of BBC's attempt to keep children engaged during the pandemic and will be available over on the BBC iPlayer (which we unfortunately do not have access to here in Ireland, but someone will stick the best bits on Twitter, surely.) They'll also be available on BBC Four and across certain podcasts on the platform. The programme will offer a range of subjects for children of many ages, including those who are studying for their GCSEs and A Levels.
