Dublin Fringe Festival is looking for a teenage band to perform with them

Melissa Carton

Is your child the next big rock star?

Well if they’ve ever dreamed of taking to the stage in front of hundreds of people to perform their music this casting call might be just what they’ve wished for.

Dublin Fringe Festival is on the lookout for an up and coming teen band to perform with them this September.

Acclaimed Australian artist Joseph O’Farrell (JOF) and Sam Halmarack combine theatre with the fist-pumping euphoria and power ballads of a stadium gig, in We Are Lightning.

We Are Lightning is a darkly comical work that reflects on the importance of communal spaces where people can come together and express themselves.

The show is looking to work with teen bands in Ireland for their performances during the Fringe in Dublin this September.

The chosen teen band will get to perform in Dublin Fringe Festival as well as gain music development experience with two international musicians.

All performers involved will be required to attend rehearsals on September 15 and 18 as well as the run of the show which takes place from September 19 to 21.

If your child is involved with an up and coming band who think they have what it takes to set the stage on fire you can find out more information about how to apply here.
