Feeling stuck with the present-buying?

Once kids get past that Santa-letter age, or even if, like us, they always request “a surprise”, it can be difficult trying to find something they want.

Well, if you have a little video game or toy enthusiast in your house, look no further, parents. We have just the thing for you.

Ubisoft’s new game Starlink: Battle for Atlas, combines toys and tech to create a fantastic video game where your kids’ toys will come to life and help them free the Atlas star system from the evil Forgotten Legion.

This video game is unique in that it comes with toy model spaceships that you have to assemble before you start playing. You can choose your pilot, the hull of your spacecraft, its wings, and its weapons from the toys included in the game. Each pilot has a different personality and each part of the ship has different strengths and weaknesses. Your kids will have loads of freedom creating their spaceships.

Those ships are then attached to the game controller to be used in-game. The exact model you have created will pop up on the screen, ready to fly through never-ending galaxies and explore alien stars.

Suddenly, imagine, you’re attacked by enemy spaceships and the fighting equipment on your current spaceship just won’t cut it anymore. Quickly swap out your weapons for another set on the model – they will appear on screen instantaneously – and keep fighting.

Starlink is super creative, interactive, and encourages loads of exploring. Plus, having a link with the toys on the controller keeps everything super active and stops any zombie-like gaming.

Best of all, there will be no fighting among the kids over who gets to play because this game has a two-player split screen that allows a second player to slide in and out at any time. That’s sure to keep the kids occupied for a while, eh? Or you can join in yourself – sure they’ll love it!

The game is available to play on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. We bet it’s at the top of a LOT of Santa letters this year.
