Kids glued to their phones? This genius tip will put a stop to their addiction

This is going to come in handy!

There is nothing quite as annoying as when you’re talking to someone and they don’t even respond because they’re so engrossed in their phone. People are now so obsessed with their devices that it is impacting their relationships.

One person who knows this all too well is Joanna Gaines. The Fixer Upper star was tired of smartphones ruling her kids’ lives so she came up with a nifty hack to break your family’s smartphone addiction.

She explained to Today that she has a charging station for everyone’s phone so if they want to use them then they have to go to that spot rather than having the phone on them all the time.

“It just became a house rule, when you’re at home, that all the phones go in one spot, so if you want to check a text, if you want to check an email, you go to that spot, but it’s not on your (body),” she shared.

The mum-of-five explained that it has made a huge difference to their family dynamic.

“We want to teach our kids that life happens outside of these devices,” Gaines previously told Entertainment Tonight.

It is so important to teach children about limiting screen time. If the pandemic taught us anything, it’s that social media can be the greatest thing, but it’s all about balance.
