I already felt like Netflix had dropped a big nostalgia bomb when they announced they would be creating a series based on the classic movie The Dark Crystal.
Now they have dropped an even bigger bombshell by announcing the cast and all I can say is wow!
As well as some familiar faces including Game of Thrones Lena Headey, The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance has taken a leaf out of Stranger Things’ book by casting some amazing actors from our favourite retro movies.
Sigourney Weaver, most iconically known for her role in Alien, will be among the new cast members to appear on the show.
Legendary Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker hello) will also join the cast and I could not be more excited!
Set many years before the events of the movie, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance tells the story of three Gelfling and their epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world.
Fans of the original film and new fans alike will be in for the adventure of a lifetime with ten mesmerizing episodes.
Launching on Netflix on August 30 The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is definitely one to watch with the kids.
