Little boy rescued after climbing INSIDE claw machine to get a toy

Jade Hayden

But, how…?

We’ve all heard the stories about the child who got stuck in the claw machine.

They climbed in because they just wanted the toy that badly. They got stuck and spent the remainder of their lives there.

That’s it really.

The stories are almost urban legends at this stage  – everyone claims to know someone who knows someone who got stuck in the claw machine, and yet, proof of these incidents never seems to materialise.

How did it happen? Did it really happen to someone you know? Is it possible at all?

Turns out, it is because one boy from Titusville, Florida managed to get himself into a claw machine and, subsequently, couldn’t get himself out afterwards.

Oh dear.

According to Titusville Fire and Emergency Services, little Mason was playing the claw machine when he decided he wanted the toy so badly that he was just going to climb up in there and get it himself.

Yep.

There he is now.

He literally crawled through that tiny hole.

How?

The emergency services wrote on Facebook:

“This evening little Mason was enjoying some food and decided he wanted a stuffed animal. He wanted it so bad, he climbed into the game to get that toy!!

“Thankfully he was never in any distress as one of our own Lt.’s happen to be there off duty and assessed the situation. Engine 10 led by Lt. Abernathy, made short work of the situation.

“We love a happy ending and are glad everything worked out. Mom, Mason and friends went back to eating dinner, E10 back to their station to await the next call. Pretty sure it won’t be the same as their last.”

They also confirmed that Mason did indeed leave that claw machine armed with a cuddly toy.

Good for him.
