Back to reality with a bang.
Ever had one of those days where you leave your house feeling on top of the world, looking all sorts of put together and ready to take on whatever life throws at you – only to return a few hours later exhausted, dishevelled and totally worn out? Same.
But if you think you were a mess, wait till you see these hilarious before-and-after snaps of five-year-old Lucie from Renfrewshire, right outside Glasgow – whose first-day-back-in-school photos went viral last week:

According to
Metro, Lucie's mum Jillan had just wanted to send a photo of her daughter’s first day to her partner. So, in the morning, she asked the girl to pose in her school uniform by the door.
But then school happened, and by that afternoon, Lucie came home look a little worse for wear.
Jillian decided to share the adorable post on her personal social media page and it was picked up by a local paper
Barrhead News. and quickly went viral.
Speaking to Metro online later, Jillian explained that the little girl had looked even more dishevelled when she picked her up:
"She had her skirt round her ankles almost and a bow at the back of her hair. ‘I think her clothes were too big slightly and she was pleased to see her friends.’
The mum-of-four said that despite how it might have looked, Lucie had had a ‘great day’ seeing all her friends, but was very tired and went to bed earlier than usual."
She explained: "I did say to her, “What did you do today?” and got usual reply all children give, “Oh, nothing much”. ‘She’s one of four. She’s the smallest and is a wee madame. ‘But she is normally very shy. Except when she’s around her brothers."
