This mum’s post about annoying children’s toy packaging is far too relatable

Help.

“I’ve delivered babies in less time.”

Another Christmas done and gone… and thank god too.

It’s all fun and games and seventeen glasses of Baileys until you’re faced with the challenge of opening some children’s toys.

And these children’s toys are, of course, never easy to open.

There’s wires, there’s tape, there’s about eight unnecessary sheets of cardboard.

It’s a battle and a half and nobody wants to be dealing with that.

One mum who especially doesn’t want to be dealing with that is the woman behind parenting blog ‘Staying Sane as a Mummy of 3.’

She took to Facebook on Christmas day to share her frustrations – and oh god, if we haven’t all been there.

She wrote:

“Happy Christmas Day!! Or as I like to call it happy ‘lose your mind over the ridiculous amount of fixings holding children’s toys in their packaging’ day!!!

“Seriously!! Who thinks bath toys that cost 6 quid need tie wraps, screws and plastic binding to hold them in their box!?!

“I’ve delivered babies in less time than it took to get the bloody Elsa doll out of her box!!!”

We feel your pain, we really do.

How many times have we all spent Christmas day frantically searching for a pair of scissors to hack away at a box containing the smallest and most unbreakable gift in the entire world?

It’s unnecessary and we do not want to tolerate it anymore.
