RTE is looking for teenagers to help develop new TV show

Melissa Carton

A great opportunity.

RTÉ has just announced that it is making a new drama for young people.

As part of the development, Claire O’Reilly is running focus group workshops online for anyone between the ages of 14 – 19.

Claire O’Reilly is a TV and theatre-maker, and a founding member of the collective Malaprop Theatre.

As the new TV show will be about young people living in Ireland, O’Reilly is looking for the opinions of the young people of Ireland on what they would like the show to be about.

The focus group will be very casual and participants  don’t have to prepare anything.

At the end of the focus group there will be time for questions for those who want to know anything about making work for stage and screen.

A great opportunity for anyone looking to get their foot in the door after they finish school or college.

The focus group will be done remotely through Zoom, giving teenagers all across Ireland the chance to take part.

For those interested in being involved the initial Zoom sessions will be Sunday April 3rd from 1pm – 2.30pm
and Wednesday April 20th from 6pm – 7.30pm.

If you are interested in taking part you can contact Claire at claire.oreilly@rte.ie and you’re asked to include what county you’re from, how old you are, and what session you’d like to attend.
