Santa warns the Gardaí about a gift boys and girls are asking for this year

Jade Hayden

Santa has written a letter to the Gardaí about a gift that a lot of boys and girls are asking for this Christmas.

Mr Claus wrote that he was “in a pickle” and that he was hoping the Garda Commissioner could help him out.

He said that he was “very worried” by the number of boys and girls that had written to him to ask for quad bikes and scramblers due to the amount of young people who are injured in accidents every year.

He shared a safety message and asked the commissioner to pass on the warning to parents.

“Quad bikes are not suitable gifts for children unless they are used with safety equipment and in a safe place (not a public road),” he said.

“They cannot be used in public parks unless there is a designated area. I can’t bear to see any more hurt children or sad parents!”

The Gards then attached a photo of two quad bikes to ensure that those reading Santa’s message knew exactly what he was talking about.

Santa finished his letter by saying that he was looking forward to visiting Ireland on December 25.
