Trying to find a suitable TV series for your children to watch is never easy.
There are so many options out there but we often find ourselves relying on the old reliable like Peppa Pig, Bluey, and Cocomelon.
However, there are only so many episodes of those shows we can deal with which is why we're on the lookout for something better.
Some people may be against letting toddlers watch TV but some programmes can have a positive impact on them.
According to Professor Eric Rasmussen of Texas Tech University, children can develop multiple skills by watching educational shows like Daniel Tiger.
"Research shows kids who develop certain social and emotional skills by kindergarten are more successful socially and academically in both kindergarten and beyond than kids who don’t have those social and emotional skills by that time."
"The preschool years are really important for building these skills," he added.
One of the best things to do is to use the phrase 'just like Daniel Tiger' when teaching your kids lessons.
This could include teaching them to share, how to brush their teeth, eating vegetables and saying thank you.
Repeating this phrase will show them that it's good for them to following his lead
Another thing you can do is use this method to teach them how to calm down.
If Daniel Tiger calms himself down by counting then use the method with your child as they'll already be familiar with it.
