Wide variety of free events for teens in south Dublin next week

Have a teen at home this summer with nothing to do?

This coming week south Dublin will have a number of events for teenagers with activities ranging from Animation to Tai Chi.

All of these events are free and provided through Palmerstown Community Centre.

On Monday, July 23 from 10:30 – 1:30 pm there will be an Easy Hike and picnic. The starting point is Stewarts Hospital Sports Centre, Old Lucan Road, Palmerstown, Dublin 20 (beside Waterstown Park)

The following day, Tuesday 24 July, the centre will be hosting a Creative Arts Workshop beginning at 10:30 and ending at 1:30 pm. This workshop will include creative writing, animation and arts n crafts.

For anyone interested in martial arts there is Aikido / Tai Chi / Yoga on Wednesday evening. These classes will take place on July 25 from 7:30 – 10 pm.

On Thursday, July 26 it’s full movie madness with an outdoor cinema and drama workshop starting at 10:30 till 1:30 pm.

Finally, on Friday, July 27 at 10:30 am, catch the bus at Palmerstown Community Centre for an amazing trip to Sealife Bray. The trip will be followed by an End of Programm celebration and cert giving ceremony on return to Palmerstown Community Centre. This activity can only have a maximum of 14 participants.

Places at each event, apart from the Bray trip, are capped at 20 teens per workshop and booking in advance is required.
