Heartbreaking.

Ashley Cain has revealed that he has given up on Christmas following the tragic death of his daughter Azaylia who passed away in 2021.

The 32 year old took to social media to share a clip of Azaylia’s ‘first conversation’, saying it was ‘the best Christmas present ever’.

The clip saw Azaylia “chatting” away while Ashley says “excuse moi” to her.

“Throwback to the best Christmas present ever – our first conversation,” he wrote in the caption.

“Giving up my Christmas’s going forward is ok, because the memories from this one will last me a lifetime.

“Azaylia – Your life will continue to change the world my angel.”

Azaylia’s mum and Ashley’s ex partner Safiyya Vorajee commented on the clip, adding: “My beautiful baby I love you so much Azaylia the best Christmas I will ever have was with you princess.”

Ashley’s daughter Azaylia passed a way last year when she was eight months old, after being diagnosed with a form of leakaemia. Since her passing, Ashley has been taking part in a number of physical challenges to raise money for a charity he set up in her name.

Only a few weeks before her one year anniversary, Ashley and Safiyya revealed they had decided to break up but said they remain “bonded by our powerful journey together” and “the eternal love we have for our daughter.”

The reality TV star and footballer Ashley first shared the news of his daughter’s leukaemia back in October of 2020, revealing she had a “rare and aggressive form of cancer.”

The family had planned to move to Singapore for CAR T-cell therapy, which became no longer feasible given the discovery of their daughter’s tumours.

They later returned home to the UK to make their daughter “as comfortable as possible.”

Announcing her passing on social media, Ashley wrote at the time: “My heart is shattered. You gave my life purpose, my face a smile, filled my heart with love and my soul with pride.

“I can’t put into words my sadness and pain, there aren’t words to describe it. I love you with every ounce of my body and I miss you so much already.

“You made me a better man. You made me the person I’ve always wanted to be. You’ve taught me more in your 8 months than I’ve learned my whole life.

“I don’t know why you’ve been taken away from me and my heart aches in your absence.”
