Kourtney Kardashian has responded to cristicm for getting pregnant at age 44.

Sharing her reaction to the sometimes negative commentary online about carrying she and husband Travis Barker’s first child together, a son, in a translated interview with Vanity Fair Italia, she confessed that the negative comments ‘don’t affect’ her.

“To those who make them, I just say: how dare you question God’s plan?” she replied.

The Poosh founder and Blink-182 drummer, for some time, went through the in vitro fertilisation process, which was documented on The Kardashians reality series; however, Kourtney revealed that they didn’t conceive their son until they ‘no longer even thought about it’.

The media personality also admitted that she felt ‘deep down’ that it ‘wasn’t the right thing’ for her.

“And in fact, I kept telling Travis, If we’re meant to have a baby, then it’s just going to happen. And so it was: When we stopped forcing the process, then it happened.”

The eldest Kardashian sister already shares three children with her ex, Scott Disick: Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8, and went into detail about how this pregnancy differs from the first three.

Last month, the reality star underwent emergency foetal surgery and credited the doctors for ‘saving’ her baby’s life.

“Physically I feel great. I like being pregnant. I’m obsessed with the idea of being pregnant! But this time, unlike the other three, I was followed by a different group of doctors who, in the first months, gave me many restrictions. No workouts, no Pilates, no caffeine, no plane trips. Even no sex!”

“Well, I think all this caution made me a little afraid because in the past I had never had to be careful. It took me a while to let go of the fear, I would say that right after the surgery I got to the point where I let go, I stopped worrying.”

However, the soon-to-be mom of four chose not to go into too much detail about the surgery, instead practicing gratitude for the present and looking to the future.

“Now I talk to the child every day, have a positive mindset, keep my head straight and say a lot of prayers. And I feel really lucky and grateful. Well, I have a lot of gratitude, yes. Not that I didn’t have it before, but perhaps since it came easy to me, I took the pregnancy for granted.”
